Guards Mark Sears of Alabama and RJ Davis of North Carolina were the leading vote-getters to headline the Associated Press preseason All-America team, this year a six-man team and represented by just three conferences.Duke freshman Cooper Flagg tied with Arizona guard Caleb Love, creating the six-man team. They are joined by Kansas big man Hunter Dickinson and Auburn forward Johni Broome.The ACC, Big 12 and SEC account for all six spots on the First Team.Sears was one vote shy of being a unanimous selection while Davis garnered 51 votes. Both players tested the NBA waters this offseason before deciding to return.Sears led Alabama to the Final Four last year and a No. 2 preseason ranking in 2024-25.
